The Mizkan Group has been producing authentic Japanese sushi seasonings and vinegars for more than 200 years. In the early 1800s, the founder of Mizkan Group succeeded in developing a vinegar from sake lees (a by-product of Japanese sake brewing) and started supplying it to sushi restaurants all across Edo (Old Tokyo). Today, Mizkan Group is the largest supplier of sushi seasoning worldwide, and the Mizkan brand is the number one vinegar product in Japan, well known across America, Europe and Asia. The logo and slogan of the Mizkan Group is inspired by the global company vision of “bringing flavour to life”. Based on the Matazaemon family crest, the logo shows three bars representing: Taste, Tang and Aroma, while the circle represents the harmony of all three.
