Cuckoo Electronics Co., Ltd. is a South Korean manufacturing firm founded in 1978 and originally incorporated as Sunkwang Electronics Co., Ltd. The company is engaged in manufacturing and marketing home appliances, such as: non-pressure and pressure multi cookers, commercial rice cookers, fermenters, steam cookers, electric kettles, induction ranges, electric tea pots, electric grills, blenders, dish dryers, water purifiers, humidifiers, electric fans and heaters. CUCKOO brand, which was introduced in 1998, has become the best rice cooker brand, and has been loved to keep the top position in the Korean rice cooker industry steadily until now. In late 2016, Cuckoo established its first American branch, Cuckoo Electronics America, Inc. in Los Angeles, California. As CUCKOO International, the brand established CUCKOO in other countries including Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore and Indonesia.
